What Exactly is a Limited Edition Print?

One of the questions I am asked most often is the difference between a Limited Edition Print and an Open Edition Print.
People often assume that there is a difference in the quality of the two types of print but that isn’t the case, so I thought I would write a handy blog post to clear up any confusion.

In Praise of Heartbreak

In Praise of Heartbreak

When we lose…When we don’t get the life we wanted, the thing we wanted, the person we wanted..we get something worth far more. The opportunity to choose mindfully. The opportunity to choose at all. Somehow, when you’ve lost, and then healed, you can walk forward with more vulnerability and vulnerability is the beginning of true courage.

MidWinter

MidWinter

I’ve always found myself more creative in the quiet days of winter.
Somehow things get slower and more deliberate and I can think clearly.
This year I’ve had more of this quiet time than usual. The snowstorms kept me wrapped up indoors and every time I would leave the house to try and shoot some images, I kept getting pushed back by closed roads and snowdrifts, almost like someone was trying to tell me something.

If I had any advice to offer on finding out what comes next, it would be this. If you know you’re not currently doing what you really want to do but you have no idea what that is and no amount of brain racking is helping, don’t be hard on yourself. Don’t allow it to lead you to believe that you have no interests, or you don’t really want to be doing anything or that you’re a lazy person.

Maybe it’s just that your perspective needs shifting. You need to get to higher ground before you can see the world unfold in front of you. When you can’t see what’s around the next bend, surely the next logical thing to do is to go to the bend and look around it.

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” ~ C.S Lewis   In September 2010 I visited Squam Art Workshops for the very first time. Six months after leaving my job as...
